FAQs
Q: My house is 80' long. How can it
be done SEAMLESS?
A: We custom make any length up to 100' in our
Richmond Manufacturing plant to insure any house can be done without seams.
Q: How far will you go for an
estimate?
A: We will travel quite a distance. Just give us a
call and we will let you know. Check our map to see
if there is an estimator near you. Chances are, there is!
Q: Do dark colors tend to fade
quicker?
A: No. With today's technology, all colors carry a
lifetime warranty.
Q: Does the thickness of siding
matter?
A: Yes. Thickness and quality vinyl is necessary to
insure performance.
Q: Which is better, Vinyl or Metal?
A: 97% of all siding sold is vinyl. Metal gets hot
in summer, cold in winter and will dent with hail storms. Just think about your
car!
Q: What are some of the differences
between Aluminum, Vinyl and Steel siding?
A: Aluminum siding came out in 1946. A great
product, it doesn't rust, doesn't corrode and doesn't deteriorate. However, it
is a soft building material which will dent with hail. Steel siding was
introduced in 1952. It was tougher and more durable than aluminum. It could
withstand hail much better, however; steel will rust and will dent with hail.
In 1957, vinyl siding came out and revolutionized the siding industry. Unlike
the metal sidings, it does not conduct heat, cold or electricity from lightning.
However, vinyl siding quality can vary. The upper end of vinyl siding will
outperform any of the others.
Q: Is installation difficult?
A: No. However, Seamless Vinyl Siding is installed
differently and the installers have to be factory certified.
Q: I've got mold and mildew on my
siding. I don't know what brand it is. The siding was on my house when I
purchased it. How can I get it clean?
A: Use a mix of 1 part bleach, 1/2 part laundry detergent to 10 parts
water. Use a scrub brush and rinse off with your garden hose. Depending on how
long the mold and mildew has been building up, it may take 2-3 applications to
thoroughly clean the siding.
Q: We have had 4 estimates given to
install vinyl siding on our home. We have been given 4 different prices that
vary greatly. Why?
A: It is confusing we know. If you would like to drop by our showroom
we can SHOW you the differences in vinyl siding and explain to you why
prices vary. Most people think vinyl siding is vinyl siding. However, there are
various grades and quality of vinyl. Make sure you get QUALITY vinyl siding such
as the siding we provide.
Q: I want to know how much it will
cost to put vinyl siding on my home. Does someone have to come out to my home?
A: Yes. One of our experienced estimators will need to come to your
home, measure and go over all your options with you. This insures you get what
you want and you can see the difference our siding will make on your home
compared to others.
Q: Do I have to
be home when the estimator comes out for my free estimate?
A: Yes. We are able to keep our estimates free by
making sure ALL homeowners are present to see everything we have to
offer.
Q: I want to install siding myself.
Can I do this?
A: Yes. You can install a quality vinyl siding to
your home. We can sell the material directly to you. However, Seamless
Vinyl Siding can only be installed by a factory certified installer.
Q: Do you only install siding?
A: No. We sell and install almost anything you need
for the exterior of your home. Just take a look at our products section on the
menu bar at the top of this page.
Q: What if I am
outside your service area?
A: We would suggest you contact a supplier in your area. If you
cannot find a supplier in your area, you can have your contractor contact
his/her supplier and have them contact us to see about
getting our product to you.
